Bread was very good, but a little disappointed. My recollection of this product was that it had a very strong "aroma" of the "sour," especially when toasted. Did have some sour aroma, just not as strong as I expected. Bread was still good. Guess I have to drive to S.F & buy bread.

Despite the second day air delivery commitment (and fees!) our order came 4 hours late. The bread was not as fresh and crisp as we experienced in San Francisco, but it responded well to the heating instructions.

I USED TO LIVE IN THE BAY AREA AND TOOK BOUDIN SOURDOUGH BREAD FOR GRANTED. I RETIRED ON THE EAST COAST IN 2013 AND TO THIS DATE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND A GOOD SOURDOUGH BREAD. I FINALLY BROKE DOWN AND ORDERED TWO ROUND LOAFS AND HAD IT SHIPPED OUT. I FOLLOWED THE WARM-UP INSTRUCTIONS THAT CAME WITH THE BREAD. THE BREAD. CAME OUT OF THE OVEN NICE AND WARM. I SLICED IT UP AND MY WIFE, DAUGHTER AND I CHOWED DOWN ON THIS WONDERFUL BREAD. ATE IT WITH SEVERAL DIFFERENT CHEESES, MELTED BRIE, APPLE SLICES,THIN SLICED SALAMI AND A COLD CHARDONNAY. WE WIPED OUT THE ENTIRE LOAF, IT WAS DELICIOUS. I FROZE THE OTHER LOAF, TO BE EATEN AT A LATER DATE. I LOVE THIS SOURDOUGH BREAD.

Great reminder of the place I grew up and fell in love with sourdough french bread, no other place is like it. Popped in the oven following the instructions, just like fresh baked. Can’t afford to do this often, but totally worth it to remember San Fran with the best iconic Bay Area taste.
