Being from California originally, we used to always have sourdough bread from San Francisco - it was just a natural thing. I haven't lived in California in 45 years and every store I shop that claims to have real sourdough bread, I buy a loaf, only to be disappointed. I still remember the taste, aroma and texture from my childhood. I happened upon Boudin Bakery during a search and decided to give them a try. All I can say is WOW! The bread is as I remember it. I wish the shipping wasn't so expensive (not Boudin's fault) otherwise I'd have a standing order! GREAT, sourdough bread!
